Jaipur,Fri Nov 01 2013: In a grisly incident a man brutally killed his 85-year-old mother by shoving an iron rod into her mouth, which went through her skull and disgorged her brain out, resulting in her death. Prima facie it seems a brawl ensued after the accused complained to his father of a bounced cheque worth Rs. four lakh.

Ganpat Ram, in-charge of Aravali Vihar police station told , ‚ÄúThe deceased is Gulkandi Devi (85), who stayed with her husband Banwarilal Sharma in Malviya Nagar area of Alwar. Their younger son Narendra Kumar Sharma, who stays at a rented accommodation, started a fight with her on Thursday over a bounced cheque worth Rs. four lakh.‚ÄĚ

Sources revealed Narendra was in an inebriated state when he attacked his mother.

The incident came to light after neighbours rushed to the spot after hearing Gulkandi Devi screaming. When they entered the room they saw her lying in a pool of blood with her brain smashed out of her head.

They called the cops and handed Narendra over to them.

Gulkandi Devi’s husband was in Rajgarh when the incident took place.

A case of murder has been lodged and investigations are on.
